New G P Fund office for J

Srinagar, Jul 5 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has created a separate office for maintaining the G P Fund accounts of the Jammu and Kashmir Police department in the state, benefiting more than 70,000 personnel, an official spokesman said today.

The Finance Department has provided adequate staff for smooth functioning and proper maintenance of the G P Fund accounts of the police personnel at the newly-created office, he added.

The police department has made available the necessary infrastructure such as computers and other logistic support.

Director General of Police (DGP) Gopal Sharma inaugurated the office at the Police Headquarters (PHQ).
