Meghalaya Govt to take up with Centre for Passport office: Lyngdoh
Shillong, Jul 5 (UNI) The ruling Congress led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government today said it would request the Centre for setting up a passport office here expeditiously.
State Minister in-charge Home (Passport) Paul Lyngdoh informed the House that the setting up of a passport office was under the Centre's purview.
Mr Lyngdoh said since 1997, 1600 applications for passport were received from the people of the state.
