MCD inspector arrested for taking bribe

New Delhi, July 5 (UNI) The CBI has arrested an inspector of the MCD for demanding and accepting bribe from the owner of a welding unit by theatening him that his firm would be sealed if did not pay.

The inspector (industries) in the MCD was arrested on a complaint by owner of the said unit that he theatened that unless he was paid Rs 5000 as bribe, the unit in Nangloi, which was already closed, would be sealed, a CBI release said.

He also theatened that if the owner did not pay the amount, he would be arrested and a case registered against him.
