Kolkata longing for heavy downpour
Kolkata, Jul 5 (UNI) While its raining heavily in most parts of the country, the rain God appeared none too pleased with Kolkata despite an active monsoon over West Bengal.
The city is experiencing sporadic rainfall since the day monsoon hit the state.
The MET officials have, however, predicted that the pattern would soon change within the next few days.
The clouds continued to tease the city, spreading only a canopy but hardly any rains. Consequently the humidity level rose.
Today's maximum temperature was 33.3 degree Celsius and the minimum 26.9(+1) degree Celsius. The relative humidity was 95 per cent, the Met office said.
