Hemp smuggler sent to jail
Patna, July 5 (UNI) A special court in Patna today remanded a person to judicial custody till July 18 for smuggling contraband hemp (ganja).
During the day, accused Dharamvir Prasad, a resident of Raxaul was produced before district and sessions court judge Mandhata Singh by directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials.
According to charges, 180 kgs of hemp worth Rs 3.60 lakhs were recovered from the accused. The consignment was en route to Khagaria from Nepal.
