HECL to cover India with nanoBTS picocells
New Delhi, July 5 (UNI) Himachal Exicom Communications Ltd (HECL), a leading provider of telecom solutions in the country today said it will provide nanoGSM to customers throughout India, allowing operators to extend network reach to remote parts and to improve in-building coverage.
The solution uses nanoBTS picocells and DSLs to backhaul the traffic over IP, providing a simple and cost-efficient service to small and medium-sized enterprises.
The nanoGSM product range allows mobile network operators to provide low-cost coverage and capacity for offices, shops and residential buildings; giving users improved service quality and enabling pure cellular fixed-mobile convergence. ip.access picocells can also provide coverage on passenger aircraft, ships and in remote rural areas using satellite backhaul.
HECL has signed a distribution agreement with ip.access ltd, a developer of in-building wireless picocell solutions, to enhance its in-building and remote coverage capa bilities using new pico-cell technology.
