Govt hospitals gear up to tackle water-borne diseases
Mumbai, July 5 (UNI) All necessary arrangements have been made in government hospitals in the metropolis to deal with water-borne diseases triggered off by the rains, J J Hospital dean Pravin Shingare today said.
Talking to mediapersons here today, Dr Shingare said government-run J J Hospital, St George, G T Hospital and Cama Hospital have made special arrangments to deal with such cases.
Twenty-five beds have been kept ready in the emergency wards of each of these hospitals which have also maintained adequate stocks of medicines.
In these four hospitals, there are 550 doctors, 150 specialist and 1300 nurses, he informed.
