France keen to invest in HP, says Ambassador

Shimla, Jul 5 (UNI) The French Government has shown interest in investing in tourism, hydel and services sectors of Himachal Pradesh, an official spokesman said today.

French Ambassador Rominique Girard told Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh last evening.

Impressed with the favourable investment climate, clean and a transparent administration in the state, the French companies have expressed their willingness to invest in the state, he said.

The spokesman said the chief minister while welcoming the investment said his government was seeking investment in tourism, industries and hydel power generation sectors only.

Mr Singh also apprised the French Ambassador about the vast investment potential available in various sectors and the incentives and facilities available to the industrialists in the state.
