Four member peasant family commits suicide
Kalpetta, Kerala, July 5 (UNI) Unable to repay loan taken from banks, a four-member peasant family allegedly committed suicide at Kuppadithara in Wayanad district last night.
Police today said Moonnukandathil Ramachandran (46), his wife Leelamma (40), daughter Sumisha (16) and son Akhil Raj(13) were found dead by their relatives at their residence.
Circumstantial evidence indicated that the deaths were due to comsumption of poison, police said.
According to the family's relatives, Ramachandran owed more than Rupees one Lakh to three banking institutions in the district.
