EU strongly condemns N Korea missile tests

HELSINKI, July 5 (Reuters) The European Union today strongly condemned North Korea's missile test launches, calling them ''provocative'' and saying they strained regional stability.

''These tests ... place additional strains on regional stability at a time when the unresolved nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula requires mutual confidence building,'' said a statement from EU president Finland.

The statement called on North Korea to re-establish a moratorium on long-range missile testing.
