Election petition against BJP MLA dismissed

Allahabad, July 5 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court has dismissed an election petition filed against BJP MLA Narendra Kumar Singh Gaur, elected from Allahabad City (North) assembly constituency.

Justice Sunil Ambawani dismissed the petition filed by Anugrah Narain Singh, an ex-MLA, who had alleged malpractices in polling had led to the election of Mr Gaur to the UP assembly election in 2002.

The court dismissed the election petition as Mr Singh had failed to disclose material facts to support his allegations.
