Delhi speaker asks House Committee heads to function actively

New Delhi, July 5 (UNI) Delhi Assembly Speaker Prem Singh today asked heads of various newly constituted Assembly House Committees to function actively and address the grievances of people.

In a meeting of chairmen and heads of various House Committees, Mr Singh asked them to exercise their power effectively so that problems of people are addressed.

''House Committees are mini House with the same power which a House enjoys,'' he added.

Besides the Speaker, those who attended the meeting included Mr Mateen Ahmed, Mr Ashok Ahuja and Mr Shadi Ram.
