Deep depression likely to bring more rain to AP
Hyderabad, July 5 (UNI) The Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh is likely to experience more rains as yesterday's deep depression over Orissa moved west-northwestwards and lay centred over Chhattisgarh close to Raipur today.
''As the system is likely to move in west-northwestwards, enhanced rainfall activity with heavy to very heavy falls at a few places is likely over Telengana for the next one or two days,'' Hyderabad Meterological Centre Director Satya Kumar told UNI.
Under its influence, southwest monsoon was active over Telangana.
Isolated rain occurred over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. Weather was dry over Rayalaseema, he added.
Palasa, Sompeta and Tekkali recorded a rainfall of eight cm each, followed by Mudhol and Utnoor seven each, Adilabad, Armoor, Metpalli Nirmal, Ranasthalam six each, Boath and Nizamsagar five each, Nizamabad, Bodhan, Navipet, Khanapur, Luxettipet and Mandasa four each, and Asifabad, Sirpur and Chodavaram three each.
