Conjoined twins born, died

Badwani, MP, July 5 : A tribal woman gave birth to conjoined twins on July 2 in a primary healthcare centre (PHC) at Julvania in this district.

However, the twins, conjoined from chest to navel, died within three minutes of their birth.

Julvania PHC's Dr Manoj Kadam said Kalu's wife Paatlibai (24) experienced labour pains at 0700 hrs on July 2 and was admitted at the PHC. She gave birth with great difficulty at 1000 hrs.

He added that the bodies of the twins had turned blue due to lack of oxygen in their mother's stomach.
