CM announces solatium of Rs 50,000 for bereaved families

Chennai, July 5 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today condoled the death of six school children in an accident at Cuddalore district and announced compensation of Rs 50,000 each to the bereaved families.

He also announced Rs 15,000 each to 12 people, including ten children, who suffered injuries, an official release here said.

The Chief Minister deputed Minister for Backward Class Welfare M R K Panneerselvam to Cuddalore to express his condolences to the bereaved families, the release added.
