Centre to constitute Rainfed Area Development Authority

New Delhi, July 05 (UNI) The government is planning to establish a Rainfed Area Development Authority in the country.

The union cabinet is likely to consider the proposal in this regard at its meeting tomorrow, sources said today.

The Authority would work for the development of agriculture in areas where irrigation facilities were not very developed and agriculture is mostly dependent on rain water.
