BSNL to recover 5.2 cr arrears from customers

Rajahmundry (Andhra Pradesh), July 5: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) today said it is making all efforts to recover Rs 5.2 crore arrears from its customers.

''All out efforts are being made to recover Rs 5.2 crore arrears from the customers belonging to all sections,'' BSNL General Manager M M Krishna said.

Talking to newspersons here he also said 300 customers were in the waiting list to avail broadband connections in both Rajahmundry and Kakinada.

The demand for Wireless Local Loop (WLL) in rural areas will be met within two to three months, he added.

Mr Krishna said to promote the company's landline scheme, BSNL East Godavari district would introduce an offer of waival of the installation charges for the subscribers applying for a new connection during one month from tomorrow.

A district public utility number for the Disaster Management Control room of District Magistrate, Kakinada had been provided, he added.
