Bihar soon to have its new industrial policy

Patna, July 5 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said that the new industrial policy of the state would be announced by July 20.

After a high level meeting attended by his cabinet colleagues and representatives of Bihar Industry Association (BIA), Mr Kumar said here that the new industrial policy would be anounced on July 20 followed by subsequent notification and other related formalities.

He said the draft of the policy was being prepared in consultation with BIA.

After the meeting, the BIA delegation said it was invited to discuss the matter so that the draft of the new industrial policy could be shaped in the manner effective in state's economic and industrial development.

During the meeting, the BIA pleaded for help to the entrepreneurs and suggested to focus on strengthening the existing industrial units and for revival of viable sick units.
