Asom Minister visits blast affected Haflong

Haflong, Jul 05(UNI) Asom Tourism Minister Rockybul Hussain today visited Haflong town which had been rocked by a grenade blast on Monday last.

During his visit, the minister met the injured at Haflong Civil Hospital and Haflong Circuit House. He also inspected the site of the blast near Haflong mosque and visited the house of Jagannath Gupta, who died in the grenade explosion and handed over a cheque of Rs three lakh to the bereaved family.

Earlier, Mr Hussain gave away cheques of Rs 10,000 to each of the ten seriously injured and Rs 5000 each to nine others who had sustained minor injuries.

He also reviewed the law and order situation of the district with the District and Police administration and had a detailed discussion with the executive members of North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council and assured of all possible help .
