Former HP Governor A N Banerjee dead

Shimla, July 4 (UNI) Former Himachal Pradesh Governor A N Banerjee died at Kolkata in West Bengal today.

Mr Banerjee was the Governor of the state from August 26, 1981 to April 1983.

State Governor V S Kokje and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have expressed shock and grief over his death.

Mr Kokje, in his message, said he would always be remembered by the people of the state for his services to the state.

In his message, the chief minister said in his death the country has lost a true statesman and an able administrator.
