Delhi police arrests people with arms
New Delhi, July 4: The Delhi Police have arrested two people from the New Delhi railway station with a huge cache of sophisticated arms, thus busting an interstate gun running racket in the capital.
A total of 16 pistols, including 14 high quality ones, were seized from Alludin and Nizammudin by a special team of the Crime Branch, police said.
Investigation has revealed that the weapons, manufactured in Munger, Bihar were being smuggled to Delhi to be supplied to Meerut Uttar Pradesh. Police say the weapons were being supplied to naxals in Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and Madhya Pradesh.
