Indian sitar duo to perform in Tehran

Dubai, July 3 (UNI) Indian sitar maestro Shujaat Husain Khan and Iranian kamancheh (Persian spike fiddle) virtuoso Kayhan Kalhor will perform together at a prestigious concert in the Niavaran Palace, north of Tehran, in August.

Khan and Kalhor have been working together for nine years and have released four albums ''Ghazal 1'', ''Ghazal 2'', ''Ghazal 3'', and ''The Rain''.

The two artistes, who have given many concerts across the world, will play a selection of pieces from ''Ghazal'' albums at the event.
