GM India June sales up by 53%

New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) General Motors India today reported a 53 per cent growth in it sales for June 2006 at 3,346 units as against 2,183 units during the same period last year.

The sales comprise 1,961 units of Chevrolet Tavera, 1,006 units of Aveo and 379 units of Optra.

The company launched its sports recreational vehicle (SRV) last week to target aspirational customers. Its Aveo model was launched in January this year.
