CPI to stage protests at Israeli Embassy tomorrow
New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) Communist Party of India (CPI) workers will stage a demonstration in front of the Israeli Embassy tomorrow to protest the military aggression against Palestinians in the wake of abduction of an Israeli soldier.
CPI General Secretary A B Bardhan will lead the protests, which will begin tomorrow morning at the India Gate, a party spokesman said today.
The party's National Secretary D Raja and Secretary Amarjeet Kaur will also address the protestors, he added.
The protest is against the ''continued Israeli aggression'' against Palestinians, the spokesman said.
More than a million Palestinians are suffering without electricity and water supply after Israeli troops destroyed bridges and power stations, he said.
An Israeli helicopter yesterday fired a missile into the empty office of Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh as part of the military offensive in the Gaza strip to seek release of the abducted soldier, Corporal Gilad Shalit.
