Centre allocates three satelitte phones to Krishna Dist

Machilipatnam, July 3 (UNI) District Collector Naveen Mittal today said the Union Government has supplied three satellite telephones to Krishna District for emergency communication in view of cyclones hitting the coast every year.

Talking to reporters here, he said the satellite phones would be of great help to the district administration to communicate with the government in times of emergency due to cyclone and dislocation of telecommunication network.

The three satellite sets were worth Rs 5.50 lakh, he added.
