Bhagamandala recorded 17 cm rain in the State

Bangalore, Jul 03 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka. Very Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Bhagamandala 17, Linganamakki, Kammardi Kalasa 15 each, Somwarpet 13.

Chief Rainfall amounts (cm): Hosanagar, Madikeri 12 each, Sringeri 11, Belthangadi, Yellapura, Jayapura, Sakleshpura 10 each, Joida, Nilkund, Siddapura 9 each, Dharmasthala, Puttur, Sulya, Sirsi, Sagar, Koppa 8 each, Gerusoppa, Khanapur, Belgaum, Virajpet, Thirthahalli 7 each. Mudibidre, Subramanya, Siddapura, Mudigere 6 each, Mani, Karkala, Honavar, Soraba, N R Pura 5 each.

Forecast valid until the Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at most places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and over ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka and at many places over Belgaum, Dharwad, Bijapur, Bidar, Gulbarga districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rain may occur at a few places with isolated very heavy falls over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 24 hours. Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka during the same period.
