BCCI awards Wasim Jaffer grade C contract

New Delhi, July 3 (UNI) Wasim Jaffer was awarded a grade C contract today and the right-hand opener will now be entitled for retainership.

BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said in a statement today that the Mumbai player, having played five Test matches during the period of players' contract, would now be entitled for retainership on prorate basis from June 15 till the end of September 2006.
