Reddy condoles Satyanarayana's death

New Delhi, Jul 2 (UNI) Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy today condoled the death of CPI (M) Central Committee member Koratala Satyanarayana, describing him as the champion of the rights of the farmers and farm labourers.

''Satyanarayana participated in the freeom struggee as a student and worked relentlessly to become one of the front-rank leaders of the CPI (M) who championed the cause of farmers and farm labourers,'' Mr Reddy said in a statement here.

He said Satyanarayana never compromised on moral values and ideological principles.

''His death is an irreparable loss not only to the CPI (M) but also to the public life of Andhra Pradesh.

Satyanaraya died of cancer in Hyderabad yesterday at the age of 83.
