Qazigund being developed as Gateway of Kashmir

Srinagar, July 2 (UNI) Qazigund in Anantnag district is being developed as the Gateway of Kashmir.

An official spokesman today said on the instructions of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad the beautification and development of Qazigund has been taken on a war-footing.

State tourism secretary Naeem Akhtar visited Qazigund and took stock of pace of work at Levedora being developed as the Gateway of Kashmir.

He was told that the work on the Levedora development project was coming up at a cost of Rs 2.50 crore and includes construction of a tourist reception centre.

Boarding and lodging complex, photo exhibition, shopping complex, toilet and other facilities for tourists will be completed very soon and inaugurated on April 14, 2007 as per schedule.

The official called for its immediate development into a beautiful tourist resort so that it attracts more and more visitors.
