PMT conducted smoothly despite leakage
Chandigarh, Jul 2 (UNI) The Pre-Medical Test (PMT) was conducted smoothly by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences with an alternative set of question paper even as the original paper leaked.
Admitting the PMT question paper leak at a press conference here this evening, Baba Farid University for Health Sciences (BFUHS) Vice Chancellor Dr Ravinder Singh said the university authorities were ready with an alternative paper, ''smelling the leakage after the last year's paper leak experience''.
''The exams were conducted smoothly at all the 41 centres in Chandigarh after all the 10,197 students were provided with alternative question paper which we had kept ready after having an inkling of a paper leak,'' the Vice Chancellor said.
''The onus to give an explanation for the paper leakage rests with the Panjab University which had been assigned to prepare the paper,'' Dr Ravinder Singh said.
Pointing out that an FIR into the paper leak case has been lodged by the Punjab Police, the Vice chancellor said they had joined the investigations by acknowledging that the leaked paper was ''a replica'' of the original question paper.
