No party untouched by groupism: Narayansami
Bhopal, July 2 (UNI) Congress General Secretary V Narayan Sami, who also holds charge of Madhya Pradesh, today claimed that party leaders would endeavour to unitedly strengthen the organisation and enhance the Congress' mass base.
''No party is untouched by groupism,'' he said while responding to a media question on the eve of Congress President Sonia Gandhi's Bhopal tour.
At a press conference, convened for briefing journalists about Ms Gandhi's visit, Mr Sami declined to assuer questions on other issues.
''Preparations have been provided final shape and Congress workers are enthusiastically waiting to welcome her. During Ms Gandhi's roughly six-hour stay, she will inaugurate a Rs 2.70-crore multi-facility Indira Bhavan at the party's state office,'' he said.
Among those present were state Congress supremo Subhash Yadav and Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Jamuna Devi.
Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Pachauri, Minister of State for Agriculture Kantilal Bhuria, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijay Singh and Congress Secretary Arun Kumar have already reached here.
Union Industry Minister Kamal Nath and MP Jyotiraditya Scindia are expected to arrive early tomorrow.
