Nilkunda and Kammardi recorded 10 cm rains in the State

Bangalore, Jul 02 (UNI) Following is the summary of observations recorded in weather office here at 0830 hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Nilkund and Kammardi 10 each, Sringeri 8, Gerusoppa 7.

Chief rainfall amounts: Mangalore AP, Madikeri 5 each, Yellapura, Panambur, Thirthahalli 4 each, Karwar, Belgaum AP 3 each, Honavar 2, Shirali, Dharwad, Hukkeri 1 each.

Forecast valid until the Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and at many places over ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka during next 48 hours.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. A spell of light rain. Strong surface winds.
