Kolhapur rivers in spate

Kolhapur, July 2 (UNI) The Panchaganga and all other rivers in this district have started overflowing following incessant rains.

The continuous rains have disrupted vehicular traffic in various parts of the district due to water-logging.

The highest rainfall of 168 mm was recorded in Gaganbavada tehsil during last 24 hours while the lowest of 18 mm was recorded in Shirol tehsil. The entire district received 804.08 mm rains during the same period.

Water levels of the various irrigation dams in the district, including the Radhanagari and Kalammawadi have increased, district collectorate sources informed.
