High thermal efficient LPG stoves soon by HPCL

New Delhi, July 2: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has introduced High Thermal Efficiency LP Gas Stoves to be sold on their LPG outlets across the country for the benefit of the customers.

The HPCL has signed a Memoradum of Understanding (MoU) with Malbro Appliances to sell the ADVANTA -Green LP Gas Stoves with their HP logo on the products through HPCL gas outlets.

Malbro Appliances, a leading manufacturer of LP Gas stoves, has especially designed a two-burner model of the gas stove on the advice of the HPCL for domestic use, which has thermal efficiency of 68 per cent plus 15 per cent fuel saving as compared to ordinary gas stoves.

The Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) has confirmed the thermal efficiency and fuel saving statistics on its website, said HPCL DGM (LPG) Anil Khurana at the launch of these BIS certified Green Label gas stoves here last night.

Initially, the products will be available in two models with two burners at a price of Rs 1395 and Rs 1595 and 3 years special warranty.

''All the components including rubber tube and hoses are in-house products. The Green Label name is given by the BIS to the High Thermal efficiency of the gas stove'', Malbro Appliances Pvt Ltd (MAPL) Managing Director Rajiv Malhotra said on the occasion.

The company is currently developing a flame failure device, which in the case of malfunctioning of stoves, will automatically switch off the system.

Malbro has installed capacity of 6000 pieces per day in its assembly unit in Parwanoo (Himachal Pradesh).

It has its own in-house R and D department and spends about 5 per cent of the turnover on it and an equal amount on advertisement of the product.

The company has 40 exclusive franchisee showrooms and its products are available at more than 10,000 outlets through out the country.

Malbro Appliances has set a target to achieve a turnover of Rs 100 crore during the current financial year inclusive of Rs 10 crore from exports to African countries.
