Five arrested in connection with PMT paper leak case
Jalandhar, Jul 2 (UNI) Five members of a gang have been arrested in connection with leakage of the Punjab Pre Medical Test (PMT) even as examination began today at 41 centres as per its schedule with an alternative set of question paper.
Talking to reporters here today, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University had received information about the leakage of question paper through e-mail and subsequently, the police conducted raids at different places to the nab five culprits who were part of a gang which was trying to provide question papers for Rs 18 lakh.
He said more raids would be conducted to nab the other accused.
He said the role of any university employee was not found in the leakage so far but all aspects were being investigated and looked into.
