Ex-railway employee arrested for attempting to marry 4th time

Chennai, July 2 (UNI) The Central Crime Branch police has arrested a former railway employee who had already married thrice and attempted to marry again and cheated a sum of Rs five lakhs from a woman here yesterday.

Police said, a 45 year old woman who gave an advertisement for her life partner, in which one Mr Parthasarathy, who responded the advertisement in the name of Karthi and claimed himself to be a railway employee, approached the woman and exhorting money and other valuables from her for the last six months, with the promise of that he would marry her.

Based on a complaint from the woman, the police has arrested Parthasarathy and during the interrogation they came to know that he was a former railway employee and he had already married thrice.

Further investigations were on, police added.
