DGP orders inquiry into attack on SEC office

Hyderabad, July 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police (DGP) Swaranjit Sen today ordered an inquiry into the gate-crashing into the State Election Commission Office allegedly by TDP leaders and activists.

According to official sources, the DGP ordered a high-level enquiry into security lapses which resulted in TDP activists led by Alladi Raj Kumar MP and Telugu Yuva Sena, youth wing of TDP T Srinivas Yadav barging into the State Election Commissioner's Office.

The DGP ordered to ensure sufficient security cover for the State Election Commission office in the wake of recent demonstration and repeated threat, and directed DGP (law and order) PV Naidu to look into the lapses if any.
