TDP chief asks people to teach lesson to Cong

Hyderabad, Jul 1 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Supremo N Chandrababu Naidu today urged the people to teach a lesson to the ruling Congress which had allegedly failed to implement a host of promises made in the past.

Accusing the Congress party of resorting to ''undemocratic'' methods and intimidation of TDP workers in the first phase of polls to panchayatraj bodies, Mr Naidu, in a statement, castigated the government for not taking any steps to control the rising prices of the essential commodities in the state.

Underscoring the need for a good leadership in local body institutions for the developmlent of villages, he said it was the responsibility of the people to elect such people and protect democracy.
