SW monsoon active in Orissa, Konkan, Goa
Pune, July 1 (UNI) The south west monsoon has been active in Orissa, Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra.
In the region where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably below normal in Punjab and north west Rajasthan and in some parts of Haryana. They were normal over the rest of the regions.
Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Orissa and Konkan and Goa. Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and many places in Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Lakshadweep and at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Marathwada, Telangana and at few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan west Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhay Pradesh, Rayalaseema, interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar islands and at isolated places in Tamil Nadu.
Heavy to very heavy rains have occurred at most places in Konkan and Goa and at many places in Madhya Maharashtra.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and at many places in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh and Lakshadweep and at few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Andaman and Nicobar islands, and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Marathwada and interior Karnataka.
