Sultry weather prevails in UP despite rainfall

Lucknow, July 1 (UNI) Even as several districts in Uttar Pradesh were lashed by rainfall in the last 24 hours, people at others places were faced with sultry weather.

The met office here today said rainfall was recorded in Agra, Kanpur, Gorakhpur and Devipatan divisions.

During the period, Chandradipghat recorded the maximum rainfall at 60.4 mm, followed by Balrampur 51 mm, Kanpur 26.2 mm and Chhatranag 24 mm.

Etawah, Kalpi, Sitapur and Rae Bareli also received showers.

However, other places in UP remained dry and humid posing problems for the people, especially following heavy load shedding in the state.

In the next 24 hrs, rainfall and thundershowers are likely at several places all over UP.
