Six revolvers seized, three including two minors held

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Jul 1 (UNI) City police's crime branch seized six countrymade revolvers from three persons, including two minors, late last night.

Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap and arrested one person and seized a revolver from him. They later seized four more countrymade revolvers from two of his associates, including a 30-year-old man - Anil Bandu Salve.

The crime branch sleuths are investigating the case and the alleged involvement of minors in the trade.

Meanwhile, a local court today remanded Salve to police custody till July 4 and sent the other two minors to remand home, following a court directive.

The seizure assumes significance in the backgrop of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) of Mumbai police busting a terrorist module in Aurangabad, after a seizure of large amount of arms including several AK-47 rifles and RDX from them at Ellora near here, last month.
