Select metal hikes on heavy industrial demand
mbai, July 1 (UNI) Price of select metals rose on heavy industrial demand, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In ferrous section (per quintal) ; copper utensils, brass cuttings snd aluminium utensils rose by Rs 700, Rs 500 and Rs 300 respectivley on reduced stock supply. But brass utensils eased by Rs 200 on sustained heavy selling pressure.
In non-ferrous section (per quintal), aluminium ingots hiked by Rs 200 on better buying support but zinc slab declined by Rs 100 on increase offers by stockists.
Nickel cathode went up by Rs ten per kg on lesser stock supply.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: copper heavy - Rs 34,700, copper utensils - Rs 29,000, brass utensils - Rs 20,300, brass cuttings - Rs 24,500, aluminium utensils - Rs 10,300.
Non-ferrous metals: copper wire bars - Rs 38,300, aluminium ingots - Rs 13,100, zinc slab - Rs 17,100, lead ingots - Rs 6,000, tin slab - Rs 455 (per kg), nickel cathode - Rs 1,110 (per kg).
