Minister hits out at Jayamala

Pathanamthitta, Jul 1 (UNI) Kerala Devaswom Minister G Sudhakaran today said Kannada film actress Jayamala, by raising scandalous controversies on the Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala, was actually trying to create division among the devotees at large.

This was not befitting a genuine artiste, he said, while speaking at a function here.

He said mission of an artiste should be to integrate human minds and elevate team to a higher level.

The Minister alleged that Jayamala had been acting as a tool in the hands of nefarious forces as part of a conspiracy.

He reiterated the government's stand that it would not interfere in the functioning of Sabarimala.
