Bangalore, July One (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office here today at 0830 hours.
Monsoon was weak over North Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.
Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Linganamakki, Kammardi, Sringeri.
6 each; Belthangadi 5; Mani, Subramanya, Jayapura, Kalasa, Mudigere, 4 each; Bantwal, Dharmasthala, Puttur, Sulya, Gerusoppa, Joida, Sirsi, Siddapura (all Uttara Kannada dt), Khanapur, Madikeri, Hosanagar, Thirthahalli, Koppa 3 each; Bajpe, Karkala, Yellapura, Talaguppa, Tyagarthi, Shikaripur, Balehonnur, Sakleshpura 2 each.
Forecast valid until Monday morning:Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and at a few places over Interior Karnataka.
Farmers Weather Bulletin:Moderate to heavy rain likely to occur at many places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and over ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka.
Outlook for subsequent two days: No significant change is expected over the State.
