Krushi Bank Chairman remanded to police custody from July 2
Hyderabad, July 1 (UNI) Nampally Metropolitan Sessions Court today remanded Krushi Bank Chairman Venkateswar Rao to police custody from July two to seven.
The Court remanded Mr Rao to police custody after hearing the arugments of both the prosecution and the defence. Yesterday the CID sought ten days police custody for Mr Rao to investigate the case further, defence counsel sought permission for arguments from the Metropolitan Sessions Judge hearing the case.
Earlier, Mr Rao was brought to Hyderabad from Bangkok on June 27 and sent to judicial custody till July 11.
On June 28, a memo seeking permission for further investigation of case was filed by CID. The MSJ on June 29, allowed the memo and granted permission. On the same day CID filed a petition seeking police custody of Mr Rao.
