Hooda claims corruption under check in state
Sonipat, Jul 1 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today claimed that corruption was being checked speedily and effectively, especially in the government departments.
''Any individual or organization found indulging in corrupt practices would be dealt with severely and no corrupt person would be spared'', he said while talking to mediapersons here.
He said that as per the promise made by the state Congress party in its manifesto, the present government had given a terror and corruption free administration. Haryana was on the path of progerss and would certainly become the number one state of the country in next few years, he added.
In reply to a question, he said that the state government had been promoting quality education in its educational institutions. The standard of the Rajiv Gandhi Education City being set up in Sonipat over an area of 2200 acres would match the foreign universities like Oxford and Harvard, he added.
He said the response from foreign countries to set up their institutions in the Education City had been very encouraging.
Replying to another question on the issue of the Special Economic Zone being set up by Reliance Industries, the Chief Minister said that this joint venture would certainly strengthen the economy of the state as an investment of Rs one lakh crore would be made in this zone where over five lakh persons would get employment.
