Hoax call about bomb in Malda Express
Indore, July 1(UNI) A telephone call about the presence of a bomb in the rake of Malwa Express here today turned out to be hoax.
The 2919 Indore-Jammu Tawi Express, stationed in the yard, was thoroughly checked after a lady, identifying herself as Aparna Jain, called the police control room from her mobile phone, Railway Superintendent of Police V N Pachauri said.
A bomb disposal squad, besides district police and railway police personnel, were deployed for thorough checking after which the train left the station on the new schedule at 1400 hrs, he said.
Mr Pachauri said investigations were on to identify the caller.
In a similar incident a fortnight ago, the call was made from a PCO but the caller could not be identified, he added.
