Goa for public-private partnerships: Rane

Panaji, July 1 (UNI) Goa government is committed to promoting more public-private partnerships for comprehensive development of the state, Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane has said.

''We are for promoting public-private partnership in various projects aimed at the welfare of the people and growth of the state,'' Mr Rane told the Goa Small Industries Association (GSIA).

Addressing a meeting of the association here yesterday, the chief Minister assured that the government will take every step to promote the growth of the small scale sector.

The sector, he said, had been affected following frequent changes in the government during the last few years in Goa and added he would rectify all lapses, if any, for extending infrastructural facilities to the sector.

Mr Rane also called for producing quality goods and their marketing through proper packaging for sustained growth of the sector.

A new committee of the association headed by president Mr Atul D Pai Kane was constituted.
