Girl student killed, trucks set ablaze by students

Mathura, July 1 (UNI) Two trucks were set ablaze by irate students over the death of a fellow girl student in a road accident in Vrindavan area of the district.

Police yesterday said Nisha Agarwal (23) riding a scooty was hit by a speeding truck in front of Rajiv Academy this morning. She died on the spot.

Students of the institution indulged in arson setting afire two truck loaded with vegetables and tyres. They even tried to torch a passenger bus.

Later, police and fire brigade personnel reached the spot and brought the situation under control.

Meanwhile, the erring truck driver and cleaner had been arrested.
