Court defers Sujata's bail plea till July five
Mumbai, July 1 (UNI) Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court today deferred till July five, the hearing on the bail plea of underworld don Chhota Rajan's wife Sujata Nikhalje and his brother Prakash Nikhalje, arrested in connection with an alleged extortion case.
On the last hearing of the bail plea on June 23, MCOCA Judge Abhay Thipsay had asked the prosecution to produce the recordings of Sujata's conversation with her husband. The court today adjourned the matter, as the recorded conversation could not be heard due to the failure of the recorder.

Both had approached the MCOCA court pleading bail in the case.
So far, six accused who were arrested in the case are in judicial custody, including Sujata, Prakash, their three accomplices Suresh Shinde, Harvinder Singh alias Kookoo Daruwala and Rakesh Surve and Sujata's chartered accountant Bharat Dudhani.
Police alleged that Sujata had received half of the Rs 10 lakh extortion amount from the complainant.
